We came to Good Samaritan after I noticed a depression on my sons skull while on vacation. We were quickly seen, people were nice. However, given my son had no pain or neurological symptoms we were told he must have had a fracture on the past that had healed. Have a good trip. We were then asked for a credit card to pay the co-pay, which was billed for 3x more than what my insurance says we should owe. But that s not really my problem.

How many 2yr olds have had fractured skulls their parents didn t notice?

I saw a doc 4 days later back home, referred for an xray, and 3 days later had his actual diagnosis of skull lesion. While I appreciate there are complaints around over testing in US hospitals, an xray would have shown this problem and saved us much nervousness waiting btw hearing we needed a neurosurgeon post xray and actually seeing one for our diagnosis 3 days later. Luckily, my kid has a good brain tumor , if you have to have one.

I m not a write a review person, generally, but feel compelled to remind other parents, trust your instincts. If something seems off with your child find someone who will take a little time and pay attention.
