Grand Nikko is an old fashioned, very elegant hotel in a touristy part of Tokyo. The area is very walkable since all the hotels and malls are connected via elevated walkaways and wide courtyards. There are lots of shopping malls and restaurants in close walking distance and the views of Tokyo are great. The hotel itself is lovely and the rooms are very comfortable for families. The breakfast buffet, although pricey is very good and opens early. My only complaint is that, just like so many other hotel chains, the tv in the room was lacking options and we ended up watching a movie in out iPads. With all the streaming services available now, I do not understand why hotels insist in just offering dumpy cable/satellite tv.
