We cycled across it. Perhaps should have purchased bikes nearer the bridge. We did about 5 miles before we got there. It's hit or miss with the weather obviously so some days you cannot even see the top due to clouds. Cycle or walk across it as it is a very good experience. It's extremely busy and there are hundreds of people trying to get the perfect picture so make sure you have the confidence to take your place when you get it. BUT when you do get that picture it is well worth it
