I went in to buy a cable for my gear shifter. I asked him if there was a trick to get the old one off and he went into a song and dance about liability if he gave me advice. Every time I asked a question he gave me the run around. I felt like he took advantage of my lack of knowledge instead of teaching me. He reluctantly gave me prices for stuff and I left with a new gear shifter instead of the cable I asked for. I went down the road to Bicycle Village and the first question they asked is "Do you know how to get the old one off?" I said no and they proceeded to explain and demonstrate. Chicky & Chippi may have made a sale but they certainly didn't gain a customer. It's Bicycle Village for me going forward.
