The owner may have an award from the queen but if he could see what's happening to his business, he would probably be distraught!

Please read all of this

Leaflet for 'no obligation quote' delivered to my door on the Wednesday, 2 phone calls missed and one answered on wedesday night,
Sales rep booked for following day. Sales rep came and pretty much demanded me to sign for an agreement there and then (all less them 24 hours since leaflet was given)

As a young woman, I feel that i may have appeared more vulnerable then what i actually am.
Here is what happened.

I found the overall meeting was horrific due to the following.
1- the sales rep (Ryan) was very friendly, until it got down the the actual costings
2- he was pushy and requested a yes or no to the quote there and then.
3- when I asked for breathing space and time to think, he said the quote is only valid until today and he needs to get the ball rolling as it s nearly Christmas and he needs to book the surveyor.
4- when I said about the overall amount being a bit too much, he said well the direct debit is only X amount so you wouldn t realise it& you have it for 15 years. (As a potential customer, he should have allowed me extra time to think as 15years is a long commitment and it was a lot of money)
5- his tone and voice escalated when I said I dont like being pressured and didn t want to sign anything straight away without thinking things through
6- he took the price down but was still an extremely high amount
7- Ryan never went through the paperwork with me or my partner and mentioned nothing of the 7 day cancellation period
8- I felt he didn t give a potential customer their request of breathing space and when I asked again and again for it, he said well he isn t in the area for a couple of weeks and then it will be too late to do anything as it s Christmas .

I have since sent my cancellation via recorded delivery.

I Put a complaint in at 320pm and the Ryan who i complained about actually called me at 345 asking why I had cancelled my agreement. I passed on my issues with what happened in our meeting just the day before and he, again, was rude on the phone, tried to give me yet another cheaper quote, explained that the company I have chosen to do my work wont give me warranty, probably wont do a good job etc.

Why he felt the need to contact someone who had complained about how pressured they felt in the meeting is beyond me. Not very good customer service at all!

I have chosen to go with another company who are going the job 1/3 of the price this company were quoting me!

I have not had any work done by them, but from what I have experienced, I'd give them a 0 star!

I dont think the sales reps understand 'free, no obligation quote'. I think they understand it as 'we will just throw figures at you and wont leave your house until you sign!'

One close call!
