This is a must if you are in Paris. Very easy acceccable by commuter train from Paris and 10 min walk to the chateau from Versailles train station. A very "grande" castle that is incredibly detailed in every way with by then luxurious but also nowadays standard. The sheer size can make you get lost. The gardens are even bigger and it takes a long time to see even the fraction of it. The chateau have also beautiful souvenir shops.
