A beautiful old-time hotel with great views of the park, Intramuros and downtown. The room we stayed in was lovely.

We ate in the Chinese restaurant, where the food was delicious and was better value than the lunch/dinner buffet. The brrakfast buffet was quite extensive, offering huge choices.

It's not the cheapest of hotels by Philippine standards but by worldwide standards it's quite reasonable.

The only negative thing is that I felt a little ripped off by the chocolatier. The price of a box of 20 chocolates was 50% more than buying 20 individual chocolates, making the price of the box by itself almost US$9/ 8 (at Apr 2015 exchange rates).

Would I stay there again? Absolutely!
