Great Police, I live adjacent to Winthrop owned land, I have PTSD, had an ongoing issue in jurisdictional dysfunctional land, and one call (University Police and Game Wardens have Federal authority giving them more power (( they need no warrant for suspicious or lingering suspicious activity))versus local / county police if you did not know ?)yesterday and my problem was fixed!
No one else would listen ( I have witnesses , documentation , photos etc. and I feel I was not treated seriously and and to be completely blunt, I ran off a drug dealer which in any other community I would get a medal for? Not that I did it because I wanted one I got sick of watching it happen!!!
The Night of the night of the incident,I ran the dealer off the customer called local police & local police threatened to arrest me? ( Got a witness the night that happened! ) I also have multiple Photos,Tag numbers,all kinds of evidence ( I held DOD security clearance to all branches of of the US armed forces globally under President Bush then President Obama. Did a combat tour as PMC in Iraq ((OIF 2005/ a year later I was in Mcmurdo Station, Antarctica)) so don t attack my credibility or treat me as the problem as local police did for five days!)
So, lesson I learned is being proactive in a community gets you nowhere in this town unless you live by the University; won t bother again running off one minute drug deals ( children live behind me grant you on other houses ) though I will still continue to improve the looks of the overgrown area pro bono.
All I got from local police, on a county jurisdictional road was headache, told to go in or go to jail,dealt with local police showing up 3 days in a four day period, neighbor presented fire arm at me ( have witness ) local PD took his hunting alibi,(educated guess= local police officer never asked to look at his boots,ask him for his hunting license,where he hunted, how long, why he put on a clean camouflage tee shirt ? A game warden would have asked why high caliber rifle was not in a case?(I know a game warden)
And I get disrespectfully treated and treated as if I am the bad guy harassing a neighbor actively buying drugs by responding local police officers?(I will say a female paralegal in the Local Police Department s narcotics division was friendly, sympathetic and empathetic and took two of my calls, the second call she was very patient with my PTSD and Paranoia exacerbated by no arrests of the problem individual the initial night by responding officers?
Kudos to the local PD s paralegal I will give her that, she was profesional (I feel like she was the only local member of the RHPD who took my issue seriously)Next time; Wont bother raising my blood pressure, risk getting shot at ( drive up drug deals in a minute?)For doing the community a service and being Pro active?
Problem solved with in 24 hours , the The three stripes University officer I spoke with ( can t remember his name(I Have Frontal lobe damage diagnosed PTSD and Paranoia thanks Iraq!)was courteous,professional, listened,took me seriously and problem was solved!
I would like to personally thank him one day, buy him a lunch? I do not know what the Winthrop University Senior ranking officer I spoke with did ?
But I will sleep well tonight, I thank them and and glad I live adjacent to Federal Jurisdictions!
