My 81 year old mother and I were traveling from Tampa to Chattanooga and hit something that flattened our tire in Macon. We pulled into Mavis at 4:30 (an hour and a half before closing) and was told they couldn t get to us because the guys leave at 6. I explained our situation as we had no where to go and he literally said I don t know what to tell you ma am. I called Discount Tires right around the corner and he said if I can get there by 6 they would get us in. We immediately left Mavis and went to Discount Tires. They got to us at 6:45 and we left at 7:15 with 2 brand new tires. Lonnie said getting us back in the road safely was their number one priority. Apparently leaving work at 6 is Mavis number 1 priority. We don t have a Mavis in our area, and I don t know if it is company policy, that store s policy, or that guy s policy, but I have never been so shocked to be dismissed so readily in our time of crisis. I will NEVER go to another Mavis Tire
