Our stay had it s highs and lows. There is construction going on which they are up front and honest about. The construction noise, however is relentless during the day. So if you need to work in any area lower than the 26th floor, keep that in mind. I was able to see both before and after rooms. The updated rooms are beautiful. My room, however was nasty. Dusty, tub stained, refrigerator leaking, coffee supplies old and curdled.

Management was very responsive and the housekeeping supervisor attentive. She explained they were short staffed, new and temporary staff, etc. Housekeeper was cleaning my room within 15 minutes. She did, however forget to leave clean glasses, fresh soaps, and replacement towels.

One of our group checked in but room was not ready. After two hours her room was still not ready and we all needed to get ready for our evening plans. We huddled in my room getting ready. Would not have been an issue if I had not surprised housekeepers in ice room on their phones. Obviously not working.

The front lobby staff vascilated between excellent to not so even adequate. It was disturbing to see how different they treated rewards customers to non-rewards or low point rewards. Serious training needs to be done there. I wish I had gotten names.

Lobby bar and restaurant were excellent. Staff, bartenders and food all amazing.

All in all a difficult enough stay that the unanimous vote of the group was that our next stay in Dallas will not be at the Renaissance. For $500.00 for two nights times 3, our expectations of quality service were not met.
