We switched from Windstream to Altius a couple of months ago. Like the other reviewer, we finally got fed up with Windstream and made a switch. The two companies are like night and day. On Altius, when I run a speed test, I get the full 10 Mb/s that I'm paying for. With Windstream, I was lucky to see a download speed of 300 kb/s. Altius' service has been a constant connection, gone are the days of constantly calling Windstream tech support saying my internet is down. After being a Windstream customer for 10 years, the switch to Altius Broadband has been one of the best decisions I've ever made. I pay half the price for a 10 Mb connection that I was paying Windstream for 3 Mb, and never got. If you live in Fleming county and are in a rural area, save yourself a lot of headache, and money, and make the switch to Altius.

Our time with Altius Broadband was short lived. We ended switching back to Windstream Communications once they offered 10 mb/s in our area. It's not much, but it works. Windstream this time around has been golden, with no real outages or slow speeds. I believe we may have called once, for a slowed connection, but we were back up to 10-11mb/s within a 20 minute conversation with customer support.
