VHL are an average company and have used them every year for a few years, but my most recent interaction with them has left a very sour taste.

After a boiler service in December 2019, they emailed me as below.

I left them a decent review and followed up by email to get my cashback and they went completely silent on me for weeks. Then after chasing, one of their team (Jennifer F.) replied to say a refund had supposedly been processed, but after checking for several days I had not received anything. I have contacted them a couple of times since to ask where this refund is and which account it was sent to, in case it was my oversight (unlikely, but giving benefit of doubt) and it's been total silence throughout.

I cannot in good conscience leave a positive review for VHL after they way they've handled this situation.

Just don't offer your customers something you can't deliver on! These are absolutely BASIC business principles. OR just own up to the fact that you offered too much and have been flooded with customers taking this up, and apologise. Don't just ghost the people who have been loyal.
