It was a toss up between here or Bicton Park Gardens and, after reading the glowing reviews of Hestercombe on here, it got our vote. I understand that it was the 11th September and not the best time of year to visit but we were hugely disappointed. The formal garden was quite nice but the woodland garden to the north was simply a walk in the woods which can be done for free in many other parks in the UK. The house art displays were at best OK. I appreciate that the staff are doing their best on a limited budget but, regrettably, I don t think it was worth the entrance fee.
