Unreliable. Horrible follow-up and irresponsible customer service reps and department managers. Damages occurred to our condominium home close to 18 months ago. The only payment made to date on this claim was for emergency clean-up services. Zero has been paid for dwelling and zero has been paid for contents. Our place remains gutted. I have kept detailed records and have had contact with 7 people from the company, including managers. Like many of the negative reviews cited, it depends on who you are speaking with, but the bottom line is that this company is inconsistent and has excuses for incompetence. Now I email, phone and check our online account daily to be certain follow-through is happening. Representatives are supposed to give accurate information, deliver on what they say they will do, and guide clients through the claims process. None of there were done in the first year. We mean business and want a resolution. I am not one to post reviews unless a company has done a standout job....Universal has truly done a HORRIBLE job seeing our claim through.
