This was my second visit to sepilok, having visited 2 years ago. Due to my past experience of overcrowding at a morning feeding I decided to instead visit the afternoon feeding this time. As suggested in lonely planet, this was a much nicer experience, with far smaller crowds. As it turned out, only 2 young apes turned up for feeding (fruiting season has just begun meaning orangutans can find plenty of food without needing to return to sepilok). The jungle gym was a joy, watching young apes learn how to cope in the wild. The problem with this is that you watch from an indoor enclosure through glass that hasnt been cleaned for quite some time, meaning getting good photos can be an issue. My only criticism is the price, much more expensive than semenggoh and watch out, they charge you to take a camera!
