Computer said there was an error when we tried to ...

Computer said there was an error when we tried to book, so we went directly to the hotel site to book. Then we received an email that the booking actually did go through, so we were double booked. Called customer service within 5 minutes of receiving the email, and was told we could cancel the reservation, but that we would still be charged the entire amount. Ridiculous. Extremely frustrated and very unhappy with this company.
