The wildlife center connected to DCHS is awesome. The volunteers there helped me save a baby cardinal that was blown out of it's nest. (pictured) The nest was too high to get the baby back into it, so they said if I brought it to them they could rehabilitate it. They also helped me when I found some injured ducklings that were left behind by their mother. If you are looking for a good charity to support this is a great one. You can even donate towards the care of the animal you bring in for help.
