This is going to be a lengthy review, but we wanted to share our whole experience from finding the car online to after we left with it.

To begin, we found the certified used Subaru online on Friday, January 6, 2017 and set up a test drive for 9:15 AM the next morning. The manager told us he would have the car pulled up front and ready for us. We arrived just before 9:15 am after driving an hour to get there and as soon as we walked in the door we were greeted. The salesman went to get our car, then came back twice to ask if we knew the stock number on it, and at about 9:40 AM he finally pulled the car around saying that it was blocked in and they fixed a recall. Not a huge deal, but it was below zero that day and the car was just turned on so not quite as they told us it would be. The salesman did not want to ride with us on the test drive because he had a customer from last night coming in to finish paperwork. After the test drive we came back to the dealer and proceeded to make a purchase deal.

After we left we noticed some things and when we brought them up to the dealer, we couldn t get a response (still no response as of 1/19). Here is the list of things we addressed:
1) Overspray all over the steering wheel and dashboard.
2) Previous owners paperwork in the glove compartment that had their name, address, and phone number. (To the old owner from Mayville, don t worry, I shredded it as soon as I found it.)
3) The GPS still had the old owners information in it including their home and all the places that they had used the GPS for.

So with item number three, I could have selected "go home" and driven to their home. The fact that they didn t reset any of that (I did reset it, took about 30 seconds and I had to figure out how to do it on my own) and the fact that the you can program your garage door to the mirror, I could probably have opened their garage and drove in. We wouldn't do this, but moving on to other concerns.

When trying to register the vehicle with My Subaru, we ran into the following issues:
1) The VIN was still registered to the old owner.
2) Subaru wasn't showing the vehicle as a certified used vehicle.
3) There is an open recall from August of 2016 for a relay that can cause the vehicle to not start in cold weather. Which tells me they didn t actually do the recall that they said they did.

Good thing Subaru was able to get to the bottom of everything and get it all fixed, because the dealer wouldn t even get back to me.

The car is amazing, but Wilde can't be credited for that.
