LA Cal Review of Jumeirah Zabeel Saray

We recently stayed at this hotel for several nights as a couple. Since it belongs to the Jumeirah Hotel Group, you can expect a certain standard in advance. In terms of price, it is mostly below the other beach resorts of the Jumeirah Group, as this hotel is a bit remote on the palm tree.
Positive:
- most beautiful lobby of all Jumeirah hotels.
- splendid, you are blown away by the beauty when you enter the hotel, a feeling like from 1001 nights.
-there is a welcome drink and everything is explained first.
-very large and above all clean rooms, walk-in shower and a bathtub made entirely of marble.
-Each room with a balcony, either with a view of the open sea and the skyline of Marina or with a view of the pool and palm island.
-the buffet restaurant Imperium with a large selection, whether breakfast or dinner. High quality, something for everyone. There is even a seafood area.
-long private beach.
- The e-butler is a huge plus, you can write to reception via WhatsApp (also in your own language) who can fulfill your every wish without leaving your room or even leaving your couch.
-You can use all pools or restaurants (almost 40) of the Jumeirah Group in Dubai.
-for a surcharge of 150 aed you can have dinner in the Burj al Arab.
- There is a shuttle bus to various malls, the Wild Wadi water park (which you can enter for free) and to Jumeirah Mina a Salam.
- There is free water at the pool, beach or in the room.
-all staff are friendly and accommodating.
-there is a small cinema with popcorn, several films are shown here every day.
Negative:
-The drink prices are very high, e.g. about 9 for a 750ml mineral water bottle
-mostly you had to get a towel yourself, which is not available in other hotels of the category.
-Coolers on the beach and by the pool for the water would be very beneficial. Currently you have to drink the 500ml bottles of water directly, otherwise the water will be warm directly from the heat.
-the pool with its loungers is often overcrowded, so it is relatively noisy. It is better to take a lounger on the beach, it is quiet there.
-Loungers are blocked and reserved early in the morning.
-Especially at dinner in the restaurants you should pay attention to the dress code. In such a hotel it just doesn't fit that some people appear for dinner with flip flops and swimming trunks.
On the whole, the positive clearly outweighs it. Since this hotel is a lot cheaper than the sister hotels Madinat (with the same standard), it still gets 5 stars here in the rating. And overall it is highly recommended.
