CFV has been an integral part of my life since I moved back to the north shore. I began CrossFit in VT in 2019 (shout out to 802cross fit!) and within a year had to move back due to family reasons. Namely, my mother was diagnosed with cancer.

I came to CFV with a decent foundation of what CrossFit was about, but I was still very much a newbie. Being new to a gym is always intimidating. I came into the gym and felt welcomed. I had tried all of the gyms in the surrounding towns during my time as I worked in VT and came back to MA for my mother s treatments. CFV was consistently the place where I could let go and have time to not think about my mounting grief.

When my mother passed the coaches took note and went above and beyond, though I had only joined 4 months prior. I kept going to class, and the classes kept me going.

Then the Covid pandemic hit. I work as a nurse, I m sure you ve heard the stories. Again, the community at CFV kept me going. I may not PR every week, and I definitely have many skills to work on, but I leave each class better than I started, mentally and physically.

Each gym has its own vibe. CFV and the community that make it are 1000% worth checking out to see if it s for you
