Unreal experience today at Normandin dealership......

Unreal experience today at Normandin dealership.... It started out great with Billy the sales associate -- he was a great guy, extremely knowledgeable about the product, and was more focused on finding me the jeep I wanted instead of just getting a deal done. We agreed upon a great price and decent APR and was ready to sign the paperwork to drive my new ride out of there. Then I was brought in the back to meet with Ben Z the finance manager....

Ben Z was also a very welcoming and helpful, walking me thorough the paperwork and confirming all the fine points,.. until we got to the warranty and prepaid maintenance plan. I politely declined both quickly, but Ben didn't seem to care. He continued to pitch me again and again over the next 20-30 minutes with different deal terms (extended payments, lower and lower costs, pay up front, etc), for which I continued to say no. The price differences between his original offer and each sequential one were so drastic, I realized how screwed anyone who says yes right away would be.

My son was getting restless and I let him know I just wanted to sign the papers and wasn't going to buy the maintenance plan no matter what -- I just wanted to get moving with my new truck. He said ok, started typing on the computer, and then came back with yet another offer! His persistence was unreal The only way I was getting out of that room was to either purchase the prepaid maintenance plan, or get up and leave. I chose the latter, only to be followed into the parking lot by Ben, pitching one last deal to give it away for almost nothing! It was past the point of persistence and crossed the line to harassment, which I let him know and he finally stopped.

Thanks Normandin for costing me 3 hours of my Sunday and a $40 uber ride home. I was so committed to this deal I had my wife leave me there knowing I was going to drive the new truck home.

A few other sketchy things happened prior to as well, including magical interest rates dropping like flies in a matter of seconds.

My recommendation -- stay away from this place or be prepared to be in for the battle of your life just to get out the door...
