Do not take in any strays on the weekends unless you have somewhere to keep them until you can call on Monday (or Tuesday if the Monday falls on a holiday). It states on their website that we are REQUIRED to turn the animals over within 24 hours. Kind of hard to do when they are closed and won't lift a muscle to come out on a Saturday evening to pick them up. Also says to not let them go either, so what should one do?? Heartbreaking to say the least when you try to help the strays but they don't want to put in the effort to help out. Gave one star for WVPD Dispatch going out of their way to try and help me out with this! Thank you to them, but no thank you to the Animal Shelter.
