I have just completed 28 days in Re-hab at the Lighthouse in Worthing. Having hit rock bottom on the outside I was desperate for help. I was extremely anxious, fearful and felt a complete failure when I arrived, however from the moment I crossed the threshold I felt safe an in good hands. The centre has a warm family atmosphere and each and everyone of the staff were so caring and supportive to me. My ongoing treatment has been amazing, its not always been easy but have been carried throughout the process with love and care. For me it has been a life changing experience and one which I will forever be grateful. I would highly recommend treatment at the lighthouse for anyone struggling with addiction as the treatment deals not only with the addiction itself but looks into the reasons beneath them. My one criticisum would be that I have put on weight as the foods delicious!

While I was here was very anxious at first but by day two I felt much better. Staff and clients were great to me. I was told to think about me and me only, and not to worry about others on the outside. Now i am thinking for myself in my recovery and doing things for me.

I have nothing but good things to say about Recovery Lighthouse. The staff were all invested in helping me get better. I needed support to start my recovery and the programme helped me get on track. Food was great too :)

Recovery Lighthouse saved my life, the therapist are second to none, they really helped me with understanding my addiction and my issues that led to the addiction. The Support workers looked after me and helped through this difficult time. The premises was extremely comfortable, my room was like a 5 star hotel, the food was excellent great chef. Also being by the coast , it was great to have supervised walks to the seafront as well. Without Recovery Lighthouse and all their staff, I really don't believe I could of made the success of my recovery, without them, I owe my life to them, I really do.

Me and my family have tried over the last 10 years to help a close family member, we decided this time an holistic approach would be the best treatment, the person involved has come back full of life and we all finally have hope of a brighter family future ahead.

Really impressed with the quality of care and service Recovery Lighthouse gave my friend when we felt we ran out of options. It's been a long struggle for all involved but finally we are now on the right tracks. Very grateful.

If you are not in favour of the AA and the 12 step approach don't.
The people in the front office are really lovely. But you really need to adopt the 12 step approach and the food actually wasn't very good. The conversation in the main room was very sexually oriented and I just ended up angry.

I have nothing but praise for this centre and all the staff. I am not jesting when I say being in this house for 28 days really did save my life. I was a seriously heavy drinker for 45 years or so, and I can now walk, talk, think and make proper conversation, and hold my head up !! I shall be 3 years dry in Feb 2019. Many thanks to all !!

Some of the staff I met where lovely. But wasn't clean and the shared bathrooms werent clean and looked like they'd fall apart quickly. Think they need to be able to tailer to the individual needs. Especially for the cost. Won't go back and wouldn't really recommend.

Awful experience. The place was understaffed and I was shown to my room and left there without my suitcase and things for hours as case "needed to searched first and there was only one support worker on". They lost my debit card, after saying that it would be kept safe, so I needed to cancel the card with my bank. Another resident in the room next to mine was, in my opinion, highly unstable and I felt very uncomfortable with her around. She made derogatory comments towards me (ensuring nobody around to witness them) and then denied making them. I left early, and got proper care elsewhere. Avoid.
PS:
I have noted your reply, and dispute much of it. Your staff member whose name was, I believe was "Daisy" who welcomed me, said that there were normally two support workers on and at the time of my arrival, she was the only one on duty as the other was absent, I believe she said she was off sick. You therefore must have been understaffed on that day? I do not tell fibs, I suggest you take a leaf from my book. I dispute that the loss by you of my bank card was discussed in detail with me at the time, it was not. As for asking me to complete a complaints form, an effective way of pushing my views from public viewing by other members of the public seeing your ineffective performance perhaps? This review is for others to see, so that they can make their own mind up about your establishment
