I came to the hospital seeking urgent care blood draw for toxicology analysis. I asked the front desk where I could find urgent care. They directed me towards the emergency area. I walked up to the emergency area. I asked the security guard if this was the Urgent Care the security guard said yes. I checked in and was lead back to a room. The technician put in my IV And hooked me up to a cardio machine. This was the point that I realized I was in an emergency room and not an urgent care. The hospital does not have an urgent care. Rather than telling me that they did not have an urgent care they brought me to the emergency room and now I have a $2600 bill for a toxicology blood draw. I believe the miss information to be unscrupulous and borderlining on fraudulent billing. Unfortunately it will cost more to fight it than to pay the bill.
