Only Trauma 1 hospital in SF and when you need it that is all you need to know... My code name was Trauma Alpha and the team did a wonderful job of quickly figuring out my case, assessing my needs and getting me to the right care resources. The environment is intense with many patients in hallways or rooms in various states of duress and difficulty but throughout the professionals in my case were clear-headed and correct in their directions about my condition. Of course I cannot thank them enough but I want everyone else to know that this place is a great resource for the city that much of the time remains under-appreciated.
