The people that like this place obviously haven't been anywhere else. It's a joke. First time in I wanted to try it to see how the beds/bulbs were. It's $30 for a single session and that's their bottom level bed. I noticed that level had a monthly membership for $39.99. I figured $10 more for a month would be worth it even if I only came back once. I couldn't buy it though because it was February 2 and they only sell memberships on the 1st apparently. The only option they gave was to buy the prorated membership for the "rest" of the month (the whole month minus 1 day) and pay the $28 sign up fee. Hilarious. Just imagine : "How much for a sandwich?" "Well the sandwich is $8 but first you have to pay me $5 to be able to buy it". It gets better. I asked if I could cancel my membership after the 1 month and they said yes but I would still be charged for the next month. Seriously. They said I could cancel it but I'd still get charged. I asked why and they said because their memberships are for 30 days and since I wasn't buying the whole month of February (remember I came in on the 2nd) it would carry over to March. Being a 30 membership and all. But I thought it was prorated? Yes but you have to buy at least 1 full month before you can cancel. How about I pay for the whole month of February and I simply don't complain about the 1 day I'm missing out on? Nope. That makes too much sense. It's so confusing the girls don't even understand it and you can tell by their attitude that they go through this a lot. They only want people to walk in and buy an expensive membership so they can have you trapped. Anyone else is simply a pain in their butt. Keep in mind I'm talking about simply getting a tan. If my first visit was this complicated and frustrating I can only imagine how much worse it would be if I actually got locked in with them by giving my card number. It's probably impossible to cancel the membership once you sign up. I bet you can only cancel on the exact same day of the month during the exact same hour you signed up and it has to be with the exact same employee that signed you up. Needless to say, I left. Google took me to a place a few blocks away called Total Tan. So glad. First timers get half off for their first week! I tried the Gold lay down which is normally only $20 for a single visit. First time it was only $11 and a really nice bed. Really nice. I can't wait to see how the next level bed is - at half price. To the girls at Sun Studio thanks for being the way you were. It forced me to find a much better place. Sorry to interrupt both of you while you were eating. I see now why you place was empty and the other place was busy. ****Updating after seeing the response**** Not a single thing I said was false. That's exactly how the 2 employees explained it to me. The owner/manager should have been more concerned with his employees doing a bad job. But instead he accused me of being in with the competition. If that was true I wouldn't have wasted my time going in to his place. I would've just said I went in and left the bad review. I have much better things to do than leave a fake review for a tanning place. If anyone thinks I'm wrong then simply go to both places I mentioned and compare for yourself.
