after my husband Joachim broke his leg in 2014, he had surgery at Granbury Hospital. Immediate signs of infection appeared. After 5 months of unsuccessful treatment, he was told to seek help/doctor elsewhere. He found a specialist, but it was too late and on Jan 4, 2015 his leg was amputated. As of Oct. 2016 he started trying to communicated in various forms with Mr. Cuenca, CEO, and Mr. Mikstaites, Risk Mgmt. of the hospital. He suggested that the infection originated at the hospital and requested a minor good will compensation. He was ignored, even a denial would have been better, he felt insulted. After 7 months, in June 2017, a letter was received from a Mr. Gay of G&S claim services - a probable one person operation working out of a residence in Ft.Worth - dated June 7, requesting authorization to obtain medical records, including 5 years prior to the accident. He complied, and requested who would see/evaluated these confidential records and how he was associated with the hospital. Never got a response! It is his position, as well as legal council's, that management of the hospital probably by purpose delayed any response to prevent him from taking legal action in a timely manner. After filing complaint with the Texas Department of Health he received a letter from Mr. Cuenco dated Sept. 27, 2017, which did not follow the instructions of the department regarding a self audit and follow up, The file has not yet been closed! Various performance ratings for this hospital are below average! The board of trustees under its chairman, Mr. B. Rodgers, as well as the ownership of the hospital (CHSPSC. LLC, President and CEO Mr. Hingtgen) seem to condone the poor management and standing of the hospital ratings. There may be some dedicated medical staff, but based on the management and the experience, we would avoid treatment there at any cost
