Ordered P510 Media Kit to find out that Hiti did an update to be "eco friendly" (e.g. save money and not relay that savings to the consumer). Unfortunately, the updated firmware had a fault in it in which the printer would not speak to the computer, telling the computer it had no ink. This ended up costing me $600 for a photo booth event I did because I had no printer when I replaced it with my new ink cartridge. I had to refund the client and also received a 2 star review. When I called Adorama and explained what had happened the service rep (whose name is Red) LAUGHED at me when I told him the story. Nevertheless being so close by I still needed paper and ink for my printer. The rep told me that Hiti did an update where there was no longer a chip in the cartridge and that I would need to return the current box and order a new one. I asked if he could just send me a different cartridge as the one I had was clearly the reason why I could not print. I was told no over and over again and the only thing I could do was to purchase another media kit that had the new software and new cartridge. I said fine, will you at least give me a discount, any discount to maybe accept that you guys royally screwed me. The best he could do was free shipping! Free shipping??? You offer every stranger who comes to your site free shipping!! I order hundreds of dollars in products a month from you and you wouldn't even offer a discount after you TELL ME that you shipped me a faulty product. To make matters worse, today I received my new media kit which contained the EXACT SAME faulty ribbon cartridge that I had just called in about and complained about! These guys don't know their left from their right. I called again and the rep would not put a supervisor on and told me the best he could do was for me to contact Hiti. When I told him that I was told the new ribbon cartridge was supposed to be shipped he told me he knew nothing of that. All of the service reps are based overseas, very ignorant and rude and will do NOTHING to ensure you leave a happy customer. Good prices, HORRIBLE service. I'd rather pay double than have to deal with these morons again and I will NEVER EVER order from this company again. Do yourself a favor and do the same. I don't typically leave reviews but the service here was so bad that I felt that I would be doing a diservice to the industry by not leaving one.
