Have just have started eating out a little more, although cautiously. We'd eaten here quite a while ago and it was great. I felt I had to write about our experience this time.

Odd Duck is a very modern restaurant that prides itself on locally sourced ingredients. While I think that's a good concept, the end result is what's most important to me. We were not disappointed. Eating here is a special experience!

You must make a reservation and then text when you arrive so that you can come in when your table is ready. They took great care to comply with social distancing and common sense guidelines which is very important to us.

Service is fabulous with friendly, intelligent, knowledgeable staff. Our waiter, Brandon, was as good a server as we've ever had in every way. Odd Duck does small plates, which we like as we enjoy sharing. We were able to order a few items on the Happy Hour Menu which were half off from 5-6 pm.

The first thing out was the Smoked Fish Pimento. It was a terrific tasting mix of smoked fish cheese spread, apple, pickled mustard seeds and radish on a seeded cracker. Every bit had a perfect mix of flavors. And although I don't usually like apple in food, it blended just right with all of the other ingredients.

The Grilled Pork Belly was similar in that the squash & corn cake, shiitake-eggplant sweet & sour and okra had flavors that mixed incredibly well.

The Cajun BB Shrimp with grilled sourdough was delicious and cooked perfectly. It came out with the Cast Iron Cornbread with beer cheese and honey butter. These two dishes complimented each other perfectly. We had to take home half the Cornbread because as good as it was, we needed to leave room for dessert.

The Sweet Potato White Chocolate Puffy with praline, graham cracker and marshmallow dessert was incredible. Like the other dishes it had a fabulous mix of flavors and was the perfect ending to a true 5-star meal.

This meal with a glass of wine was reasonable and worth every penny!
