A truly spectacular experience. You should arrive first thing in the morning and plan to stay til late afternoon if you truly want to explore the palace it's grounds and the smaller palaces on the property. You MUST get a reservation ticket with a time on it other wise you will wait hours in the sun in the summer waiting to get in. It took me about an hour to explore the palace. I was overwhelmed by the number of people in each room. They need to manage flow better. It became claustrophobic at times and I didn't stay as long as I would have liked to because the number of people pushing me to get a better photo caused a unenjoyable experience inside the main Palace. However the gardens are beautiful as are the smaller palaces which I enjoyed much more as there are far fewer people and I could actively enjoy being there.
