Guidance with conversations goes well at your location.
What is less is writing out a medicine to the pharmacy.
This is sent via a FAX. My pharmacy scans this FAX and must
deliver the medicine based on the scan. Parnassia recently had on September 1 sent a FAX to my Apotheek Segbroek on the Laan van Meerdervoort 558A. 2563 BL.
Because this pharmacy (due to cuts in other pharmacies) is busier, the processing of the FAX to scan is slower. Because a scan, especially with written text, is often not error-free, this must be checked (I myself have had to process scanned textbooks for the blind for 10 years).
It would be better if hospitals and Parnassia and general practitioners, etc. put ALL customer information and medication in a BAR CODE (just like supermarkets with their items). Scanning a BAR CODE is almost always error-free and goes much faster. All this requires clear cooperation between hospitals and all pharmacies. The necessary software must also be properly adjusted for ORDERERS medication and PHARMACISTS and client data.
I have a conversation with my pharmacist the day after tomorrow and I want to bring this up.
Please respond,
Yours sincerely,
A. Barnhard
