Still one of my favorites. Location is great. Great for a staycation with the large pool area and proximity to the malls. Great service. If I had something to comment on, it would be the breakfast buffet. I felt that the breakfast buffet was not up to par. Japanese rolls were not as good as before - they don't look and taste as great. The chawanmushi looked so dried out that I didn't bother to take one anymore. The pancakes and waffles were dry and tough as leather. The hakaw that I always look out for in the Chinese section was no longer available. I always thought the EDSA Shang breakfast buffet served one of the best hakaw - generous amount of fresh large shrimp wrapped in perfectly cooked translucent, chewy, and glutinous hakaw wraps. It was replaced by another version of the shrimp dumpling that was just not as great. It seems as if there were fewer choices or if not, fewer items that stood out.
