May 13, 2007 I went into preterm labor. On May 14, I delivered a baby boy at 24 weeks.
The dr who delivered my baby also had a birthday that day. I don't remember his name but he was terrific and I never got a chance to thank him.
Also there was a nurse named Gigi who took such good care of me. She kept me updated & checked on me frequently and when my baby was transferred to Orlando she was there to support me.
When the nicu called with info on my son she came and sat with me in case it wasn't good news. She went above and beyond!
Gigi if by chance you read this I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart!! You have no idea how much your support meant to me.
Today my son is a happy, healthy 9 yr old. He is in 4 grade and loves legos, minecraft, animals and playing soccer. He spent 100 day at fl children's hosp before coming home. He overcame all the nicu obstacles but I believe his survival was as a result of the impeccable care he received in his first 24hrs there.
