This is the most beautiful and best maintained forest preserve I've seen in Westchester County. The only downside is that the trails are (intentionally) narrow, which can create awkward situations when the park is crowded and you're trying to pass people going the opposite direction. The best time to visit is during the week. The weekend can be quite busy. I'd recommend starting with the green trail and transitioning to the red trail to get the best views of the river. The blue trail is more hilly, but is less scenic, being farther from the river.
