I stayed at Smoky View with a Twist from 7/14 to 7/21.

Cons:
1. The owners sold the cabin and/or changed rental companies between the time when I made the reservation with Eden Crest and the time of my stay. This made things a bit confusing during check in, because everything had to be forwarded from the new rental company to Eden Crest to me.
2. This is a 5 bedroom cabin that easily sleeps 14. However, there is only an 80 gallon water heater. A cabin this size needs an on-demand tankless water heater. We took a lot of cold showers. It would have been really bad in the winter.
3. The driveway is really steep. We had to back up the drive to park. Would not want to try to stay here in the winter. Also wouldn t want to show up the first time in the dark or during a storm. I never would have figured out how to park.
4. One of the shower heads was almost completely clogged. Luckily, I had some pliers in my truck. I was able to remove the head, soak it over night, and scrub it clean. Whoever gets this bathroom next can thank me for a comfortable shower. Before I did this, the water was like laser beams!
5. The cleaning crew was way behind. We were told we could check in between 3 and 4. I got a text at 4 saying it was ready for check in. The cleaning crew, however, wasn t finished until closer to 5.

Note: NONE of these cons have anything to do with Eden Crest. They are for the cabin.

Pros:
1. I cannot stress this enough: We have been staying in Pigeon Forge for a long time, and this is by far the most beautiful view we have ever had. Amazing! Fireworks show from Dollywood every night. Gorgeous!
2. The folks at Eden Crest bent over backward to keep in touch with me until they knew we were checked in okay. They had a situation that was out of their control and they made the most of it.
3. Our kids loved the game room with the bunk beds. That kind of stuff is what thrills the kids from 3 different families that only get to stay together once a year.
4. You are right across the road from the Dollywood/Splash entrance. Very convenient!
5. You can only see one other cabin from this cabin - privacy is nice.
6. The WiFi, TV, etc. all worked well.
7. Comfortable parking for 4 vehicles.
8. Did I mention the view? I want to go back already.
