Liberty Island was one of my favorite experiences in New York. The monument itself is fascinating, and around Lady Liberty there are a few fun fact podiums that explain things like: Why is the statue green? and What does the things in the statue stand for? Tired of all of the heat? Go inside the museum at the other side of the island to explore the statue s history. There is even a 10-minute film about the statue playing in the museum. Overall, I am very satisfied with my visit to this national landmark.
