I purchased a 2012 E350 certified pre owned (CPO). I had been looking for a few months. The used car manager Aaron Schoenack and I had exchanged a few emails (given my busy schedule) and a couple of calls. I also visited the dealership. I am an experienced driver and know exactly what I want; the E350 provided the balance of ride, power and handling I wanted. The contenders were Lexus GS350 (awesome interior, poor handling, best CPO warranty), BMW 535 and Audi S4/A6 (all had awesome power and handling, but a lousy CPO warranty), the BMW having the added disadvantage of an incredibly poor interior. The Mercedes E350 was the best balance of all the factors mentioned.
ASSESSMENT OF SALESPERSON: YEFIM (BORIS) PERELMAN
The sales experience was excellent. I would rate Boris as a 10/10 on each of the following points easygoing, knowledgeable, easy to work with, NON rushed, NON pushy, went out of his way to provide information, EXCELLENT after sales service, help with learning the car s functionality.
ASSESSMENT OF SALES MANAGER AND PRICING: AARON SCHOENACK
I was in the unusual position of having connected with the sales manager instead of the salesperson first. I would rate Aaron as a 10/10 on each of the following points easy to work with, NON rushed, NON pushy, worked with me on providing pricing that worked for me. I know a lot about cars and pricing, I really appreciated the way Aaron worked with me on this deal.
ASSESSMENT OF FINANCE MANAGER AND FINANCING: MICHAEL GITTINS
I would rate Michael as a 10/10 as well. I appreciate the fact that although several products were showcased, none were forced onto me and in fact, he was actually trying to get me all I needed, and not necessarily what the dealer wanted to sell. THIS is a huge deal for me. Michael just asked me for the add ons I wanted and then proceeded to provide just that. I already had excellent financing from my credit union; he proceeded to beat that handily. This is the first time I ve EVER used dealer financing; and only so because Michael went out of his way to get my business; the right way.
ASSESSMENT OF DEALERSHIP:
The dealership was extremely clean; the facilities for both sales as well as service customers are nice.
ASSESSMENT OF SERVICE: SERVICE DEPARTMENT
I just bought the car a week ago; so I am unable to comment on this aspect yet.
CONCLUSION:
In short, I consider the overall experience as divided into salesperson, sales manager, price, service, the finance manager, financing and the overall dealership. I am not a person to hand out full scores easily, but in this case, I would make an exception. I would rate everyone and everything 10/10 at Feldmann Mercedes in terms of the overall experience.
