Honest opinion. I would have to say this place is mediocre at best. It was our first time in Gettysburg and this was the only place we ate at in the area based on reviews we saw but we were left disappointed and hungry. My wife had the roast beef sandwich which was edible but lacked substance, my mother in law ordered the lump crab with a side salad which left much to be desired, my youngest child had the grilled cheese which was good, my oldest child had chicken tenders which were undercooked. Finally I had the spit roasted chicken which was inedible. This was the driest chicken I have ever had the only way I was able to choke this down was by using my wife's au jus that was left over from her food just to add some moisture. Giving credit where it's due the garden salad was good and the bread roll. Food to the side. When we walked to the host table to be sat the boy that was supposed to be sitting guests was a bit to busy talking to the employees and treated us as a nuisance and finaly sat us down after his conversation. In the process of being sat down the busser dropped a few glasses off the tray she was carrying. I know this happens and typically I fully understand and dont ever give any second thoughts when it happens. However, my mother in law is on blood thinners and the glass pieces shattered up and enbedded some shards into her sock. Luckly she was wearing pants and shoes and not anything exposing her skin or we could have ended the day in the hospital. Mind you no one said sorry or anything when this happened and saw me picking glass out of her sock and shoe. The waitress was nice, not very tentative but in her defence she was busy. As mentioned we left hungry as the food just wasnt adiquit and we planned on ordering more food but just didnt want to spend any more money there and be more disappointed. Now this place was packing in nicely so maybe this was just a one off fluke but I know we wont be back.
