Order got canceled after three weeks. There were no communication within the three weeks. It took three weeks to find out they are not able to ship.

I was looking for a hitch for my MDX and found this dealer has the part in stock. It is cheaper including shipping than my local dealer in Canada. So I submitted an online order. The payment was charged next day and the status was updated to In progress. I was hoping I can receive it by end of April for my trip. After a week, there was no update. I submit an order inquire through the online form but no answer. I sent another order inquire a week after but still no reply. Then I called the part department but no one answered. I used the online chat tool. The lady gave me a different number and ask me to directly call part department again. After the third try, someone answered the call. He looked at my order and told me that they just received the part and would ship it on the day. I would receive a tracking number soon. After two days, I got an email the order got cancelled due to the unable to ship the item. It took them three weeks to figure out they cannot ship it. They did refund my payment quickly. Unfortunately, due to the exchange rate change after three weeks, I lost 30 Canadian dollars. I was hoping to save a few hundreds buying here but end up with wasted 3 weeks time plus $30.

Lesson learned,
1. I should send them an email to confirm the part and able to ship to me before I submit the order. Although I might not get an answer, I could shop somewhere else. Save my money and time
2. I should read the google review. I just noticed someone else ran into the similar problem 7 month ago.

Hopefully, they can improve their communication in the future. No more online customer runs into the same issue.
