The Madras Crocodile Bank is a great place if you would like to be amongst nature and experience reptiles especially crocodiles in their natural habitat.

The place brings you a 'close to nature' feel with different sections dedicated to specific reptiles.

They have a large collection of different species of crocodiles which is almost baffling because of the sheer number of them present in the Crocodile Bank.

The place is clean and frequented by volunteers who explain things well and are well informed. Volunteers consist mostly of students and corporate volunteers with a passion for nature.

Another important and interesting feature is the Irula Snake Show in the Park which is a fifteen minute show in a snake pit with numerous pots filled with venomous snakes. The show starts with an instructor demonstrating different venomous snake species from Cobra's to Vipers and a live snake venom extraction too.

Pro's:

- Great for children and elders.
- The Irula Snake Show is amazing especially the live snake venom extraction
- Neat and well maintained with well informed volunteers and staff
- Great Reptile inspired store
- Amazing collection of crocodile species!

Con's

- Not too huge, can be covered in around 45 mins if you spend enough time in each exhibit.
- Toilets not very clean.
