UPDATED REVIEW* 1 Star to 5 Stars

After writing my review, the GM replied within less than 10 minutes stating he would have his team leader in service call me. Charlie, the team leader from their service department called me within 15 minutes of that reply & told me he was going to take the issue to the higher ups to see what they could do. Less than 10 minutes after that, Charlie called again & said they were going to see if my heated seats could be fixed & if not we would take it from there. Following day I got a call from the GM himself & said they couldn t be fixed but they were going to take it upon themselves to order the parts & have both burners replaced in my front seats because I truly was a valued customer & they take care of their customers.

When I picked up my car, I was greeted by the service dept & the GM himself who again recognized that I ve been a loyal customer, which I have been because I would NEVER go to the KIA dealer in my own town (Copiague) or any of those KIA BIG 3 dealers, as a matter of fact.
By resolving my issue, Smithtown Kia has earned its 5 stars in my book again due to their communication, quick actions & respect for the every day, hard working American. They showed me that they were willing to take a large loss to keep me as a customer & that really goes a long way with me.
Thank you Lenny, Charlie & everyone that made this a priority to make sure I left there happy once & for all.

P.S. although some reading my review might not be entirely convinced & will still consider going to another KIA dealer (to service or purchase) especially any of the BIG 3/Revolution ones in Copiague, Bohemia, etc. Good luck to you. They will treat you like trash. They ll judge you the minute you walk through their doors & try to put you in whatever car THEY feel is right for you. That s not how sales at Smithtown works. I worked in car sales & I ve never seen such an honest sales department & even financing department like what I saw at Smithtown. Other dealers only care about exceeding their monthly quota. Smithtown cares about creating an everlasting relationship.

Original Review-
I will NEVER have my car serviced at this dealer again. My optima had TWO recalls on it, the most important one being the engine needing to be replaced. They kept my car overnight & once I got it back, the heated seats weren t working in my car anymore. They told me to bring it back in & told me they changed a fuse because one of the charging sockets had a blown fuse & that they would work now that they had changed that fuse since it was all connected. just give it some time to warm up they said.

Heated seats are still NOT working & then my car has a leak from the undercarriage just a few days later. I call the dealer & they tell me to take it back, now a second time after picking up for the recall work & I live 40 minutes away! We ll take care of it they tell me. LIES. After having the car for 4 hours they call & tell me they don t know what s wrong with the heated seats & they won t fix it & that the leakage had nothing to do with the new engine put in.

Then Mike from their service department has the audacity to tell me that the car isn t brand new. How dare you?! The car just turned 5 years old. It is not a car that s used every day & has never had ANY issues until it reached their hands for these recalls. How dare they try to be such thieves & tell me it s time for a new car. You should be ashamed of yourselves! I am a single mother raising a child completely on my own & working very hard to pay this car off & you re going to try to steal from an honest, hard working client who has referred both friends & family to your dealer? You best believe you won t be seeing any of us purchasing or leasing a car from these thieves ever again.

Save yourselves the trouble & take your car to be serviced elsewhere. Sure, they re great when your car is new because they know they have no choice. Once your loan or lease is almost up is when they try to force you into a new car & not take responsibility for what they did.
