Armstrong Catalina hot tub delivered in May . We live in Atlanta where we have learned there is no local tech support and unfortunately we have had serious issues since arrival . Tub kept heating from start , temp was set to 88 but it was heating to the hundreds which required me emptying and refilling to keep from overheating several times a week . Temp raised to 107 when we went out of town . It took six months , four separate technicians to visit and countless hours calling and on hold with LPI to get problem fixed . Thankfully heating issue is resolved but now our lighting isn t working ! The tub is located on a large reinforced deck with main entry to tub and another side completely open but LPI are now refusing to honor warranty unless my husband and I ( both in our fifties ) move tub away from wooden railings it is set next to on two sides . Sadly we have realized two things
1) we have bought a poor quality product
2) the company has no intention or ability ( local technicians say they don t want to work for them and they are located in Tennessee ) of honoring warranty.
The hot tub was bought through Aqualiving .
I wish I had done better research and not been impressed with false promises of a top quality product at a low price ( tub still cost $7000) . This has turned out to be a stressful , exhausting experience and not the relaxing , fun time we hoping for .
