Checked in First World Hotel yesterday(29 June 2018) around 2pm, paid extra surchages on one hour check in earlier and for room near to lift. After went into room realised that the safety box is locked, called the customer service hotline and waited more than 1 hour to get the technician come to our room with more than 5 chasing calls in between. The reason we chased them is because we need to keep our valuable things in the safety box before we go out of the room again. After that we came back to room again around 1035pm. When I went to shower, on the water and shower head just flew out and hit my head then dropped onto floor. It was seriously a terrible and frightening experience. After checked on the shower head, it was actually seriously cracked and no replacement or inspection is done before we checked in. Another things we came to realised is the safety box was not able to be opened due to error because my husband and I remembered the same password key in. Called the customer service hotline again on both the issues, another round of waiting again. After that they arranged another room for us, then we need to waste another round of time to pack and unpack our stuff to shift to another room. Asked the supervisor whether they can do any compensation like free upgrade room for us as it was really spoilt our day and mood but he said not possible and just walked away without any other compensation other than apology. My husband said he has terrible experience with the hotel's customer service for his first trip to genting highlands. Highly not recommended for people looking for a hotel room in genting highlands!!
