Been urged by many friends to share my TWO absolutely appalling experiences here.

First time was back in late 2016, when I went in looking to upgrade from my 118i I got back in 2012, to the new M140i that was due to release in 2017. My experience with the sales rep (Nick):

- showed me the last show M1 in stock they had and proceeded to tell me that I could not test drive it because they had "too many test drive accidents on this model already", implying that he thought I wouldn't know how to drive it
- then told me I couldn't test drive the M2 either, which had basically the same engine as the M1
- told me he couldn't even give me a "rough" estimate of how much the starting price of the new M1 would be
- told me it was "impossible" to give me a rough estimate of how high a custom-made M1 would cost as "the model is not out yet

Basically the sales representative looked at me and thought I was kidding about buying the car and gave me no helpful information at all. I was utterly disappointed that a SALES representative could not even give me an ESTIMATE price range for a new model that was due to come out soon, that is literally your job to know such things.

I ended up going back to Adelaide BMW, where I got my previous car, and was served by an absolutely perfect salesman who answered all my questions, offered to let me test drive any and all models I wanted to, gave me proper documentation with the figures I wanted for references and everything. Safe to say I happily bought my custom M140 from them.

Fast forward to 19/02, picking up my car from a mandatory recall service. After 55 minutes of waiting, watching at LEAST 7 other customers get served first, and 3 visits to the receptionist to remind them I've been waiting just for a simple PICK UP, I realize the service person (Peter) I was waiting for had seen an older couple 30 minutes ago who had come in AFTER me.

At 50 minute mark, Peter calls me over, happily ignorant and shows me to my car. He asks "do anything interesting this morning?" to which I reply "not great as I've been waiting for you for the past hour and I have class in 5minutes" at which he laughs and says "oh we have a bus stop just outside that goes to Melbourne Uni, you could leave your car and take it there if you need to make it!" As if I was going to LEAVE the car I've been waiting an HOUR for just to come back and waste more time?

It would seem to me that the staff here care more about taking care of 'older' clients (who they probably think can "afford" their cars) rather than EVERYONE (I noticed only older customers being asked about coffee/tea and those around my age ignored).

The best thing was that during my entire 55 minute wait in the lounge, I was sitting right across a sign on their coffee area which stated "we promise not to make you wait unnecessarily long as we understand how valuable your time is". What a disgrace. I'd leave 0 stars if I could.
