This four seasons is located in a wonderful setting in Nevis, however it's also one of the worst four seasons that I've stayed it. The real scoop is that this hotel is under bank ownership (Wells Fargo) after the last owners jumped ship when the hotel was severely damaged in a hurricane, and the bank ownership shows. We stayed here for a week with the first portion in a lower season and the second half in the week of thanksgiving.
First issue, and most astonishing, was the change in menu prices on the day the thanksgiving crowd arrived... Gone were the many hot items on the pool menu and in place were cold wraps and easy to assemble items, but the prices increased by about 50%. A hamburger which was around $20 all of a sudden during the holiday week was around 30$.
Second issue, the hotel is run down by four season standards. A few days before we left we noticed the main pool was below it's normal level by over a foot. It was clear that a leak was present and the staff was struggling to get it filled in time for the thanksgiving rush. This is in addition to the chunks, and I mean 2 foot chunks of pool plaster that is missing on the floor in some areas.
Third issue, they really need to solve some of their sewer smell issues around the resort. Ylang ylang trees and flowers can only do so much.
Having said that, for the most part, the staff is top notch and friendly. They remembered your name and are clearly very good at what they do. Far better than any other hotel on the island.
It's staff and location give it 5 stars. It's run down appearance take away the other 2 stars I usually give a four seasons.
I hope this has been helpful.
