Honestly this school was a disapointment for all the hype. I had a few wonderful professors and a few great classes, but over all the education I got was a disapointment compared to my community college. I only learned theory here, not real world skills. Toward the end of my time there they cut a whole bunch of classes for my degree and the classes they did provide had nothing to do with my Criminal Justice Degree. If it werent for the great internship I had, l probably would considered my time there a complete waste. Im very disappointed with how they use student and government funds, I dont see how it goes toward students at all. Ive only seen it go towards art on the property, poor revamping of old buildings, and terrible academic staff, instead of adding greatness to the academics provided or to the multicultural community (which it lacks even though they brag about the 12% multicultural community they hold...because its "such a remarkable amount"....not really folks). For as much as they brag about themselves I dont really see what is worth bragging about, I certainly dont brag about going here to others because my academic experience doesnt even come close to the powerful knowledge that my friends walked away with from UAlbany.
