This is a beautiful zoo. The exhibits really reflect natural settings, and are well maintained. They have many cultural and conservation exhibits that they change up around the year, and a concert series in the summer. Concerts are featured in an open field within the zoo, with food and vender booths, near the historical carousel. There are plenty of bathrooms, cash machines, and food booths that offer a variety of traditional junk foods and local fair (like chowder). Parking is a real problem though, especially on event days, so be ready to hunt for a spot.
