I wish I could give zero (0) stars. I came here b/...

I wish I could give zero (0) stars. I came here b/c of the great reviews. I went to my PCP and asked for a referral here. I had just changed insurances from a private BCBS (through my employer) to BCBS MedQuest after I was laid off from my job (along with several other employees during an acquisition). I came here for my first visit. The lady at the front desk asked for my private insurance card (I think it was showing up in the Straub system), and I told her that I have MedQuest. She went to the back and asked for another lady to come to the front and help her. The other lady was beyond rude and condescending. She tried to accuse me of Medicaid fraud or something ... maybe they looked up info in the Straub system a few weeks ago (which may have still been showing my old insurance instead of my new one). I gave her my new card. What was her problem? She was speaking very loudly so others in the waiting room could hear, "Yeah, when you got FIRED". I said, "I didn't get fired, I was laid off"... she continued to use that terminology the rest of the time I was in the front waiting area. She would whisper to other office staff and they'd look over at me with disgust in their faces. She left my file open on the patient sign in sheet, so when patients came in they could see all my information. I went up there and asked them why my file was laying there; I asked if it was a HIPAA violation. They said they were working in my file. I asked if they could put it behind the counter where they are working, not on top of the patient sign in sheet. Why would I have to ask her to do that?

I waited for about 20 minutes to be brought back. When I got brought back, one lady (who was really nice) came in and showed me how to do the stretches and then left. When I started doing them I wasn't sure if I was doing them correctly, b/c it hurt. She came back five minutes later and said, "Are you done? Here's another one." She showed me another one, and said she had to go check on another patient. Really? Mechanics is important. So I really do need to know if I'm doing it right, or if I'm hurting myself more. I think they have too many patients and not enough staff. After she was done showing me stretches, I asked her for a print out of the stretches (b/c I can do them wrong at home for free). She gave me the sheet and told me to schedule another appt at the front desk. I told her I was not coming back.

A week later, I get a voicemail at 4:15pm saying, "You are late for your 4:00pm appointment and you will incur charges." I got very angry. I did not schedule another appointment. I called them and left them a message stating, "I did not schedule this appointment, because I don't ever plan on stepping foot into your facility again. I need to know who scheduled me and how to get the fee off my account." No one called back. I called them back the next day and asked to speak with a manager. They first said, "Ok please hold." Then she came back and said, "Well, who is this?" I wouldn't tell her my name. She said, "We got your message and we will close your acct." Somehow they knew it was me from the day before. I waited for two months to post this to make sure I don't get any bills in the mail. I haven't gotten any... yet.

Stay away! Print some info off the internet and do your own stretches, or go find somewhere else who will really show you how to take care of yourself.
