Go for a launch! The flight facility visitor s center is small, but very well run and clean. The employees were lovely. The best time to go is certainly for a launch. For a large launch, arrive as early as possible. Parking is well-run. There are bleachers, but you ll want to bring your own chairs and blankets. Employees were giving out information and even children s coloring pages and postcards on the launch. Come prepared with food and know that bathroom options are limited. The bathrooms in the visitor s center were clean, there just weren t nearly enough - and not enough porta potties, either. Everything was free, which is amazing. NASA Kennedy Center charges $100+/person for admission to watch a launch. Hearing protection not needed!
