Cath Spencer Review of Eden Project

I took my son who is in a wheelchair and my friend who is an elderly lady who can't walk for very long or very far. We were able to borrow a wheelchair for my friend, free of charge, and the access around the project was excellent. My son found it very easy to get around the biomes. The staff were attentive and knowledgeable without being patronizing, the 'train' staff were excellent when getting the two wheelchairs on board and they listened to my son when he told them he would prefer to transfer out. Most people don't listen to him. The restaurant staff were extremely helpful, collecting food and drinks for me so that I wasn't struggling with trays and wheelchairs. Disabled facilities were adequate although one was out of order when we visited. The Biomes were absolutely amazing and I thoroughly enjoyed my visit there. I came away with an armful of plants bought from the nurseries there and I found them to be reasonably priced and the plants are in excellent condition. I would happily recommend Eden to anyone who has a love of plants and conservation. Very educational. My only criticism would be that the car park we were sent to was quite a distance away and was a very steep push back on our return to the car.
